Eva Jewell (Payne) Stinson

Eva Jewell Stinson, 83, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  The Scottsville, KY native a former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing and Lebanon Jeans and formerly attended Gloryland Gospel, East Willow Church of God and Freedom Hill Church.  She was a daughter of the late James Utad Payne and Bertie Darcus Patrick Payne and wife of the late Roy Dean Stinson. 

She is survived by 3 sons:  Rickie Stinson and wife, Leda; Jerry Wayne Stinson and Sammy Stinson, all of Scottsville, KY; 

1 daughter:  Lynn Wade and husband, Marty, Scottsville, KY; 

12 grandchildren:  Beth Walker (Todd), Joseph Wade (Sarah), Justin Wade, Alicia Webb, Derick Stinson (Melissa), Tara Blankenship (Adam), Jamie Harrison, Hillary Shelton (Caleb), Brad Stinson, Caleb Stinson (Alex), Adam Stinson and Ashley Carter (Kalob);

Several great and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers:  Harold Payne, Raymond Payne and Calvin Payne; 5 sisters:  Vinnie Jenkins, Zelma Slayton Lela Viola Colson, Delma Lee Payne and Beulah Parham. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Mills officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home.
